Product care
Day to day tasks can cause wear and tear to your jewellery; that’s why we always advise that you remove any precious items and store them safely before conducting household chores and exercise, including:
• Cleaning and dusting (particularly if you are using bleach and other strong cleaning products)
• Gardening
• Showering, bathing or swimming
• Applying lotions, hair products, perfumes, and other cosmetics
• Taking part in contact sports
• Cooking and preparing meals
Each item of jewellery should be stored in its own fabric pouch or dedicated section of your jewellery box to avoid becoming scratched, entangled with or damaged by another piece of jewellery.
Whilst not wearing your ring, you should store it in a safe place out of direct sunlight.
Daily wear can affect the sparkle of your jewellery, and whilst there are several cleaning methods that you can use at home, taking your ring to a professional cleaning service will always achieve the best results.
Whilst we do not offer a professional cleaning service in-house, feel free to contact a member of our team for advice and recommendations on a ring cleaning service near you.
As your engagement ring, wedding ring or eternity ring is likely to be part of your daily wardrobe, we advise that you keep an eye out for worn, damaged or missing claws, stones that are loose in their settings, fractures in the metal, and wear in the plating.
If you notice any of the above, we recommend contacting a professional jeweller as soon as possible to arrange for your ring to be repaired.
In addition, it’s a good idea to have your ring checked over and assessed by a professional on a regular basis as a preemptive measure, so that any issues can be caught at an early stage and addressed straight away if necessary.
