We use only the finest quality materials in each of our designs, which are all created by our in-house team of designers and carefully crafted by our expert jewellers.
Unlike the carat used to measure the weight of diamonds, when applied to precious metals, carat refers instead to the purity, not the weight. Our 9ct metals are available in yellow gold, alloyed white gold or alloyed rose gold, with a purity rating of approximately 37.5%.
Also available in yellow gold, alloyed white gold or alloyed rose gold, our 18ct metals comprise approximately 75% pure gold.
Platinum is one of the finest precious metals used in jewellery making & is more than ten times rarer than gold.
The purity level is much higher than gold, at around 95%, and it is a much stronger and denser white metal, making it more hardwearing and durable.
Contrary to popular belief, the carat of a diamond refers not to the size of the stone, but to its weight; the larger the carat, the heavier the diamond will be. This only very occasionally corresponds to the diamond’s size.
The diamonds we use range in weight from 0.2ct to 0.7ct.
There are several considerations to be taken into account when making your diamond selection, including your budget and the preferences of the person who will be wearing the ring. For example, if you know that the wearer would prefer a larger stone, you could opt for a higher carat diamond with a lower clarity rating, in accordance with your budget.
A diamond’s colour rating refers to the natural tint of yellow that occurs in the stone; the closer to being ‘colourless’, the more rare and valuable the diamond.
Clarity, on the other hand, refers to the number of imperfections in the stone. These imperfections (or ‘inclusions’) occur naturally, and the fewer there are, the higher the clarity rating and the more valuable the stone.
F – colourless
Amongst the whitest of white diamonds available, F-colour diamonds pair well with white gold or platinum settings.
H – almost colourless
Slightly less expensive than our F-colour diamonds, H-rated stones have a very faint yellow hue, which can usually only be detected when compared alongside diamonds with a higher colour grade.
G – almost colourless
Usually, only the trained eye of a professional jeweller would be able to detect the colour difference between H and G graded diamonds.
VS – very slight inclusions
Diamonds with a VS clarity rating do have some imperfections (inclusions), however they will not be visible to the naked eye.
SI – slight inclusions
Generally, the inclusions present in an SI-rated diamond will only be seen under 10x magnification. These stones offer excellent value for money.
Each certificated stone will come with its own GIA Certificate, with a minimum Symmetry, Polish & Cut of VERY GOOD & Fluorescence guaranteed at NIL – MEDIUM maximum.
GIA reports represent the highest standard of reliability, consistency and integrity, giving you that extra piece of mind when purchasing your perfect ring.
Your ring should feel comfortably snug on your finger to avoid being lost, without being too tight.
